On Santa’s good list: A Christmas gift with a cause

Christmas is a time for giving and helping out others. ONSITES supported the Bulgarian Scouts Organization for the second year in a row by donating to help them continue their activities during the global crisis.

2020 was a year marked by worldwide turbulence and instability which affected people from all walks of life. The Bulgarian Scouts Organization was too hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it impossible for the organization to continue its regular activities. Entirely focused on educating Bulgaria’s youth by encouraging them to participate in social programs and initiatives, the organization inspires positive change in children and teenagers. However, the inability to hold regular meetings during the year has left the Bulgarian Scouts Organization in a difficult financial position. With meetings resumed solely online, there was a significant drop in the organization’s annual funds, leaving the scouts struggling to continue their regular activities.

The donation which ONSITES has made is in aid of the Varna branch of the Bulgarian Scouts Organization. With it, the organization has received the necessary funds to maintain their headquarters and continue to hold future meetings with the scouts and friends of the organization.
